I was never big on Fashion, and often felt it wasn't something I could be passionate about. But after putting together our very first Style Issue, I've developed a newfound appreciation for this industry.
Every minute detail is so important—from color, fabric choice, and tailoring, to design, all result in a single article we use every day. It truly is an art form.
Mark Twain once said, "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." We have everyone in the industry to thank for this. Without them, we are just shells in a common herd with no means of representing our individuality.
Here, in our great city, we have a distinct style all our own. Vendors and designers thrive in San Francisco by catering to our personal style, and helping us stand out from the rest.
In this issue, we teamed up with six of the best retailers in the city to present individual looks for fall that are truly San Francisco. All of the merchandise used can be purchased locally, and supports our local economy.
