Design with intelligence in mind
"A marketplace for ideas" has been the grounds beneath one long-standing, San Francisco furniture store since the beginning, and while new artists and designers are introducing state-of-the-art ideas each year, their foundation has been faithfully assembled around these innovations for the past 20 years. Zinc Details in the Pacific Heights district of San Francisco was motivated by these faithful standards, and was originally inspired by two minds with an affinity for modern minimalism, and a purpose for functionality and affordability.

Wendy and Vas Kiniris' vision sprouted back in 1990, as the two fellow Design students shared similar ideals in furniture: functionality, affordability, and quality design; as they opened their doors to Zinc's first location on Post Street. "We've been successful for 20 years because we do a lot more than sell furniture and accessories—we're in the marketplace of ideas.
