Art: ArtHaus

From a private salon to a strong presence in the SoMa district, James Bacchi and Annette Schutz have taken their passion for Fine Arts and serve as a distinguished and prominent duo in the San Francisco art scene. ArtHaus thrives with its distinct gallery structure combining a unique model of main gallery, project gallery, and an ArtHaus Out + About program. The Out + About program allows artists a presence in spaces such as the San Francisco Design Center to facilitate exposure and connection with other San Francisco artists and designers.

On a quarterly basis, the main gallery exhibits group shows composed of their stable of artists within a particular theme. Past shows explored the figure to works on paper to photography. The multitude of styles and approaches to themes provides a challenging and fertile ground for artists to grow and evolve. Presently, "ArtHaus in Square" is exhibiting works that are square format in various media including painting, monoprints, and burnt wood.
From the main gallery, patrons step down into the project gallery painted with a deep red enamel presenting an unorthodox display.
