Advertising Executive Asterisk SF is looking for a personable, business oriented, SF loving, creative human being of substance to join our team and seek advertisers to compliment the publication. The candidate will be responsible for building relationships with businesses and assist in promotional campaigns for the client. To qualify for the job, you must embody Asterisk SF's love for locally focused content, community, design, and culture. The ideal person would have connections with ad agencies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations and causes in the city.

Must have experience in ad sales and preferably a bachelors in Marketing/Communications. Must be a Bay Area Resident. Understanding of Print Industry / Web Advertising is a big plus, but not required.
This job is part time with salary + commission. Quota Based Position

Asterisk SF is looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, creative candidate to help Asterisk get to more bookstores, boutiques, and newsstands in the Bay Area and beyond. As we focus on our street visibility, regionally and nationally we would like to find that person who has passion for print magazines and who understands where and why people buy publications with a focus on creativity & culture. This fantastic candidate will be in charge of acquiring new sales locations in person (locally) and by phone/email nationwide. You will also be in charge of coming up with new campaigns to grow the readership base and form Marketing Strategies with the Ad Executive to maximize Asterisk SF Magazine's potential.
Must have Transportation. Personable and Enthusiastic about the product. Must have some college education. This job is part time with salary + commission. Quota Based Position.

WRITERS / PHOTOGRAPHERS / EDITORS

We consistently get submissions from prospective journalists, writers and word-creatives. We apologize, if we are not always able to respond to everyone. We are only looking for Contributing Writers/Photographers at this time. No Full Time/Part Time positions. All contract writers who reside in San Francisco/Bay Area and must be able to attend our bi-monthly Editorial Meetings, if accepted. We generally do not take story pitches from non-approved contributors.
